Why learn about wine?
- It's an important part of our local culture and economy
- It makes your date think you're smart when you don't back away from the wine selection at dinner
- It will get you bigger tips if you appear knowledgeable about your restaurant's wine offerings
- It could prevent you from saying something like "Yes, I like a dry sweet wine."
- It's like learning to multiply - we encourage practice, practice, practice!
Thursday evenings in February
It's time to reconvene the Mid-winter Wine Appreciation Series. Course outline is below:
- History of Winemaking - Feb 4th
- Sensory perception (lots of fun!) - Feb 11th
- Science of Winemaking - Feb 18th
- Wine & Food Pairing - Feb 25th
Each class combines a brief lecture, wine-tasting, hand-outs, aroma wheel and food! The quizzes will be easy and each student will receive a certificate of course completion.
