Bet the Farm

Our current vintage includes:

Pinot Gris 2011
This wine’s pale straw color leads into aromas of crisp apple laced with citrus perfume.  On the palate, it presents silky, fresh pear notes over a layer of citrus and slate.  Its finish lingers to echo the tastes and aromas of the wine.  Food Pairings:  Shellfish, grilled swordfish or tuna; veal with risotto; smoked gouda or mozzarella. $17

Traminette 2011
Playful and appealing tropical fruit and flowers flow through a smooth, layered structure.   Before its lingering, spicy finish, your palate is treated to kiwi, papaya, persimmon and crisp apple.  Food Pairings:  Any style of Asian cuisine – Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese or Indian; turkey tetrazzini; mixed roasted root vegetables. $16

Village White 2011 (blend:  60% Cayuga, 40% Vidal)
Its color of pale white gold invites you to aromas of crisp apple, melon and honeysuckle. Distinctive pear and fruit skin flavors leap onto your palate, flowing into a simply refreshing and pure finish.  Food Pairings:  Seafood salad or lobster roll; mild cheddar cheese;  raw vegetable appetizers. $12

Twice Noir 2011 (55% Gamay Noir, 45% Pinot Noir)
A vivid bright red color in the glass leads to cherry, strawberry & red currant aromas. This wine layers flavor in a refreshing, intricate weave of cinnamon, coffee, caramel & cedar on the palate. Food Pairings: roasted meats and root vegetables, salmon, sauced veal or pork over pasta or rice, and mild cheeses. $18

Cabernet Franc 2010
Bronze medal, 2012 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition
Its deep ruby red color is echoed in the dark red cheery aromas that unfold from the glass.  Layers of sweet spice, cherries and vanilla weave a smooth, balanced impression on the palate, leaving a persistent finish of appealing flavor.  Food pairings:  lamb shanks; herbed breads, oils or roasted potatoes; pasta with butter & sage. $18

Late Harvest Vignoles 2010
Silver medal, 2012 Finger Lakes International Wine Competition
This dessert wine (14% RS) invites you to linger over refined apricot marmalade, honeysuckle and butterscotch.  With each sip of its rich golden color, you will luxuriate as the flavors mingle with notes of sweet spice and orange peel, leaving a balanced, not overly sweet impression on the palate.  Food Pairings: blue cheese drizzled with honey, shortbreads, biscotti or all by itself. $25
