The Winery - Our Hosts, Our Growth, Our Current Vintage
If you read the story page, you'll know that our wines have fared well in competition and that we've consistently sold out of wine each year.
Bragging rights aside, I couldn't have done any of this without the graciousness of our host winery Damiani Wine Cellars. Winemaker Lou Damiani has been a mentor and friend for four years now. His partner Phil Davis is the grape grower and he has been one of my most demanding critics - which is a good thing. My wine production has been guided by the combined expertise and passion of Lou and Phil. Thanks guys!!
Each year our production has steadily grown -
We routinely produce 5 wines each year: Village White (a Cayuga/Vidal blend, our first wine ever and our first gold medal winner!), Traminette, Pinot Gris, Gamay Noir, and Cabernet Franc. In 2009 we purchased Pinot Noir grapes to add to our portfolio. Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc will be released sometime during fall or winter. For the 2010 harvest, we will increase production of our reds and maintain current levels of production for our whites. Maybe we'll try something new this year - time will tell.
